Pioneer Days in Ramah

The Pioneer Day celebration in Ramah was the inaugural event in our new "Pavilion."
The Church is building a pavilion in each Stake but ours was built in Ramah because Gallup (Stake Center) does not have a pioneer tradition and Ramah is the oldest Ward in New Mexico.

This is the facility we have.
I didn't get any photos of the celebration; Just the parade. Hope you enjoy them:

Grant and Blanche Clawson - color guard leading the parade.

Tom Pettet represented the American Legion.

The "Bicycle Brigade - Junior Division" were next in the parade.
This is some young people. DUH {:o(

An old car, maybe 1929 Model A Ford.
I don't know who owns it.
Brother Ken Harrington. He was baptized on his 88th birthday, a couple of years ago.

The tribute to the first settlers in Ramah.
"From This to a Mighty Empire."

The oldest continually chartered Scout Troop (43) in New Mexico and the Cub Pack associated with it.

 The Ramah Ward Young Women.

The Gerald and Dian Richins family float.
Marley Richins (???) is playing the fiddle. When they came back up the street they stopped and played a Hoe-Down especially for Grandma Luella.

The local "Farmer's Market" have been joining us in the celebration for several years now. A lot of them are in the El Morro area and are certified Organic Producers.

Brother Rendol Gibbons a Viet Nam DAV. He practically grew up in our home with his brother and sisters.

The "Gang" of three clowns: DeAnte, Jesse and Alfred.

The Ramah Navajo Queen 2010-2011 Krischel Augustine.

The archive.
Common ancestor to many. This grave is on top of the hill south of Toquerville, Utah, overlooking Hurricane.
